Orientation For Waukesha Students Begins In Late August
The first day of school for the Waukesha School District is Sept. 1.
WAUKESHA, WI — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Waukesha. The first day of school for most students in Waukesha is Sept. 1.
The following dates are for orientation and open houses for students at Waukesha North High School, Waukesha South High School, Waukesha West High School and Waukesha East Alternative School.
- Welcome to West Day is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 17. Waukesha West’s Freshman Ignition Day is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 26. Open house is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Sept. 8.
- Waukesha South’s orientation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 19. The freshmen’s first day is from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 31. Back to School Night is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 8.
- Waukesha East Alternative School’s orientation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon on Aug. 25 and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 26. Waukesha East Alternative School is a charter school within the School District of Waukesha aimed at serving the educational and emotional needs of at-risk students.
- Waukesha North’s Freshman Ignition Day is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 26. An open house is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 10.
