Over $180K Expected To Be Raised For Alzheimer’s In Waukesha

WAUKESHA, WI—Saturday’s Walk To End Alzheimer’s expects to raise $180,000 for the disease, according to the Alzheimer’s Association, Wisconsin Chapter.

The walk was held Saturday at Frame Park in Waukesha as an in-person event.

The walk’s goal is to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The money from Saturday’s event will go to fund research and local services in Waukesha County, including support groups, education, information and referral services, care and support, advocacy efforts and a 24/7 Helpline, the association said.

“The Walk to End Alzheimer’s plays a critical role in advancing our mission in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementias,” David Grams, the executive director of the Wisconsin chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, said in a statement.

Donations can still be made to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s website through December 31.
