Person Of Interest In Homicide Case Last Seen In Waukesha: Police
The Antigo Police Department is investigating a stabbing death.

WAUKESHA, WI— A person of interest in a stabbing death in Antigo—located near Wausau—was last known to be in the Waukesha area, police said.
Authorities identified the man as 38-year-old Derek Goplin.
On Monday morning, police responded to a welfare check for a person in Antigo who was found dead with apparent stab wounds, police said.

Police suspect the death is a homicide and named Goplin as a person of interest.
Goplin has brown hair and eyes, he is 150 pounds and 5 feet, 11 inches tall, police said.
Goplin was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes, a dark green camouflage coat, a red hooded sweatshirt and a green or brown beanie hat, police said.

Police are trying to locate the man’s car, a red 2016 Ford Explorer with the Wisconsin plate RANDYR.
Police urged the public to be cautious if they see Goplin and to immediately call 911. Goplin may have a knife and is known to carry a gun, police said.
