Possible Theft Thwarted In Waukesha When Man Gets Camera Alert

WAUKESHA, WI—A Waukesha man spoke to a person on camera who could be seen rummaging through his car on Melody Lane early Tuesday, according to the Waukesha Police call log.

A man received a notification on his phone while he was in his home that someone was captured on his Ring camera outside. He then noticed a man who gained access to his car and went through the center console. The man told police he was able to speak to the person through his camera.

It's unclear what the man said.

The person then left and got into another car parked nearby. Nothing was taken from the man's car. Police said they would make extra checks of the area due to cars parked outside, the log said.
