WI Kindergarten Student Killed In Bus Crash At Silver Spring School
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office is investigating a involving a bus crash that left a kindergardener dead Thursday morning.

SUSSEX, WI β A school bus carrying students fatally hit a kindergartener in the parking lot of Silver Spring Intermediate School in Sussex, Wisconsin on Thursday.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident at 8:37 a.m.
According to the Hamilton School District, the child, who was part of the district's 4K program, was in the process of transferring to a shuttle bus bound for Willow Springs Learning Center when the crash happened.

Authorities say the bus driver is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
In a letter to families on Thursday, the district emphasized its commitment to providing support for students and staff affected by the tragedy. The student services team has already begun working with students and staff at several district buildings to offer emotional support and resources.

Dear Hamilton School District Families,
It is with extreme sadness that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community. This morning a young student passed away after a tragic incident that took place at Silver Spring Intermediate School (SSI) prior to the start of the school day. The student involved was a 4K student who was at SSI transferring to a shuttle bus to be taken to Willow Springs Learning Center.
Out of respect for the family, we are not sharing additional information at this time. Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to this studentβs family.
We understand tragedy is sure to raise many emotions, concerns and questions for our entire school community, especially our students. Our student services team immediately began working with students and staff at several buildings this morning and will continue to provide support during this difficult time.
