Snowfall Could Mix With Rain In Waukesha Area Friday Into Weekend

The National Weather Service forecast snow totals between 1-3 inches for much of Waukesha County through Friday.

WAUKESHA, WI — Snow is expected to accumulate Thursday night and into Friday morning across much of southeastern Wisconsin with higher totals expected the more inland you are from the lake, according to the National Weather Service.

The greatest amounts will occur west from Beaver Dam to Madison and Mineral Point, where some freezing rain may also briefly mix in early Friday. Rain may mix in as well closer to the Illinois border and closer to the lakeshore, according to the National Weather Service Sullivan/Milwaukee. The snow could return again Monday night and may change to rain Tuesday, the NWS said.

For much of Waukesha County the snowfall could begin by 6 a.m. Friday with accumulation between 1-3 inches, the NWS forecast.

Thursday: A mostly cloudy day with a high of around 38. A low around 32 into the evening.

Friday: A 100 percent chance of precipitation with snow becoming rain after 3 p.m. and a high around 37. Precipitation continues into the evening at a 40 percent chance.

Saturday: Drizzles are possible after noon with a high around 40 and cloudy. Low around 31 in the evening.

Sunday: A mostly cloudy day with a high around 39 then a low of 29 into the evening.
