Stop Signs, Signals Considered For Busy Waukesha Neighborhoods
The Common Council will consider the additions Tuesday.
WAUKESHA, WI — The Common Council on Tuesday will consider adding traffic signs and signals to the Foxridge West and Trillium Hill neighborhoods. The additions would address current traffic and pedestrian safety concerns on River Valley Road, according to city documents.
In May and June, the city's engineering staff conducted a traffic study of the neighborhoods to develop a plan of action to address car traffic and pedestrian safety issues. The study concluded that adding the signs and signals would improve traffic safety in the neighborhoods.
The cost for installing a new stop sign would be around $200 each and would be covered by the 2021 building and grounds sign budget.
