2 Wauwatosa Teens Robbed While Walking To School

The incident happened Friday morning in the 2000 block of N. 81st Street.

WAUWATOSA, WI— Two Wauwatosa East High School students were robbed on their way to school on Friday. According to an email from the Wauwatosa School District, the incident happened in the 2000 block of N. 81st Street.

According to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report, police said the students were approached by "several subjects and robbed of property."

Patch reached out to Wauwatosa Police but we haven't heard back as of Tuesday afternoon.

The Wauwatosa Police Department is working to identify the offender and will have extra patrols in the area before and after school for the days ahead. School counselors are available for students who desire support related to this incident.

"I want to reassure you that the safety and security of our students and staff will always be our top priority. By working together, we will keep our community a safe place to learn and grow. Thank you for your continued support," the email from the school district said.
