Those who are interested may play in, volunteer, or sponsor the event. The tickets are $40 per singles player event ($80 per doubles team event), and all players participating receive 1 free Summerfest General Admission Pass. We are thrilled to have Adidas and Elite Sports as our sponsors this year.

The event originated 10 years ago, in Middleton, Wisconsin, a suburb of Madison. Johnson was teaching tennis as a summer job in 2013 while she attended college, where she became inspired to host the first annual event and saw its promising success. She then filed the nonprofit for incorporation, and everything has been a thrilling ride since then. The event has been hosted in Middleton, Madison, Milwaukee, and Wauwatosa so far.

The Kelly Johnson Foundation is proud to drive forward positive change with our Pay IT Forward Initiative in which we are partnering with Second Serve 501(c)3 to donate new and gently used tennis gear to kids in need at Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation. Feel free to bring items to the collection bin on-site. Our goal is 100 items to celebrate our 10th annual event! Feel free to bring any equipment you would like to donate.

We are also delighted to continue our Sustainability Initiative in which we recycle all tennis balls after the tournament with Recycleballs.

To find out more information about the event, register as a player, or sign up to volunteer, please visit our event website using this link: http://www.kjfwi.org/events/johnson-summer-classic/. Registration closes Tuesday, June 20th.
