'Unprecedented' Job Growth In Waukesha, Officials Say

Citing companies like Milwaukee Tool, Super Products, Paul Davis Restoration and Brelie Gear, Waukesha officials say they've seen growth.

WAUKESHA, WI — Officials in Waukesha say that more than 1,000 new jobs were created in Waukesha in 2019.

Waukesha County Center for Growth officials say the numbers point to "unprecedented" economic growth and workforce development in Waukesha County. Officials said more than 25 companies moved to or expanded operations in Waukesha County after working with the Center for Growth, investing more than $128 million locally, and committing to create 1,038 new jobs.

“The commitment to create more than a thousand new jobs in our community is truly extraordinary,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow in a statement Friday. “Waukesha County believes in investing in economic development. The benefits of those investments are evident in the dedication to the region we’re seeing from businesses like Milwaukee Tool, Super Products, Paul Davis Restoration and Brelie Gear.”

In their report, the Waukesha County Center for Growth says staff met with more than 300 companies and pre-ventures and worked with more than 100 firms on talent development. Over 3,000 students were exposed to career pathways through business and education partnership programs, officials said.
