Volunteer for 3-on-3 for Niebs Tournament

Andy Niebler, a 12-year-old Waukesha resident batting brain cancer, passed away in 2011 before the first "Cancer Sucks" tournament, but each year the tournament is held in his honor

Volunteers are still needed for the 3-on-3 for Niebs basketball tournament at Center Court on Aug. 18. A variety of opportunities are available, including referring, scorekeeping and T-shirt sales.

Interested volunteers can sign on up the tournament’s website.

The tournament is held each year in honor of Andy Niebler, who passed away in July 2011 from cancer. The tournament originally was held as a fundraiser for Andy who was fighting a brain cancer diagnosis. Although he died just before the tournament, the tournament brought together friends and strangers to help support the Niebler family.
