Waukesha 4-Year-Old Accidentally Shot With BB Gun: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — A four-year-old Waukesha boy was shot by a BB gun in an accidental shooting, police say.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, police were called to Waukesha Memorial Hospital just after 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 on a report of a four-year-old child that had been shot in the face with a BB gun.

Police said the four-year-old had been accidentally shot in the lip by the gun after the child's mother and 22-year-old uncle were playing with the BB gun. According to police, the mother and uncle thought the gun was not loaded.

Police said the child suffered only a minor injury. No arrests were made, and family members were cooperative with police, according to reports.
