Waukesha Attorney Killed In Crash Was 'Adored' By 13 Grandchildren
Waukesha police on Wednesday identified the 76-year-old man killed in Sunday's crash on Les Paul Parkway as a retired attorney.
WAUKESHA, WI — The man killed in a crash on Les Paul Parkway near St. Paul Avenue in Waukesha on Sunday has been identified as retired attorney Gerard F. Kuchler, police announced Wednesday.
The 76-year-old is survived by several children and 13 grandchildren who "all adored their papa bear," the family said in a statement distributed by police. Police said Kuckler was driving but did not stop for a red light when the two-vehicle crash happened, although an investigation is ongoing.
"He was a well-respected and brilliant attorney for 50 years. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Before his retirement, he was part of the law firm of Kuchler and Cotton, SC in Waukesha. Gerry is lovingly survived by his children, Ben Kuchler, Dan (Deni) Kuchler, and Margaret (Ali Kanzi Belghiti) with his former wife Mary Walsch. He is further survived by his loving stepchildren, Tony (Laurel) Cotton, Andrew (Lindsey) Cotton, and Natalie (Cyrille) Sauvain with his former wife and law partner Donna Kuchle," the statement released by family said, in part.
