Waukesha Chef Opening Take-and-Bake Business in Downtown Waukesha

Megan Day’s love for the culinary industry is taking her to downtown Waukesha where she is opening a take-and-bake homemade meal business for food lovers who have a busy lifestyle.

Customers can purchase her take-and bake meals for a family dinner, small party or to save for the future.

“It is really supposed to cater to the customer, helping them out with fresh, homemade meals,” said Day, who is a certified chef.

Simply Irresistible Catering is celebrating its grand opening Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at 309 W. Main St. The take-and-bake business has a website and the business can be reached at 262-549-0508 or at sicatering@yahoo.com. The business’ hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

In addition to take-and-bake meals, Day is offering take-and-bake catering options for special events.

“My favorite part is using my creativity and my passion for the culinary industry and to sit with a customer to come up with something,” Day said.

Day’s worked different kitchen jobs throughout the area and has lived in Waukesha for nearly three decades. She chose the downtown Waukesha area for her dream because she’s seen the downtown’s growth over the past several years.

“I wanted to be a part of it,” she said.
