Waukesha Considered One Of America's Best Small Cities: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha earned a spot on a list of the Best Small Cities in America last week. WalletHub released its 2021 Best Small Cities in America rankings. The study compared cities with between 25,000 and 100,000 residents and assembled rankings weighted across 43 livability factors, including housing costs, quality of school districts, median household incomes, unemployment rates and various quality of life measures.

With all factors considered, WalletHub named Waukesha in 92nd percentile of small cities with a total score of 66.42. The city that ranked highest on the list, Sammamish, Washington, received 72.55 points.

Waukesha's ranking puts it among the top 10 percent when it comes to the best small city to live in. Wisconsin cities didn't quite reach into the top ten for WalletHub's ranking, though, Massachusetts took the cake for that.
