Waukesha County​ Food Pantry Closed On Friday

The food pantry posted on social media it was canceling services "until further notice."

WAUKESHA, WI— The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County, 1301 Sentry Drive, announced on social media it is canceling all services until further notice. An announcement posted on the organization's Facebook post on Friday said:

"Unfortunately, we need to cancel all services until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience but we take everyone's health as the highest priority and are taking precautions to keep our clients, our volunteers, and staff safe. We will be updating as frequently as we can, as we get new information."

Patch reached out to the food pantry but hasn't heard back as of Friday at 12 p.m. This story will be updated after a response is given. An outgoing message states the pantry is closed on Friday for all services. It is not known when services will resume.

An earlier announcement posted on the pantry's page Wednesday said it was closed for service but would reopen Thursday.

"We apologize for the inconvenience but we are taking extra precautions to keep our services safe," the earlier announcement read.
