Waukesha County Highway Worker Struck In Hit-And-Run

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver who hit the worker.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI— A Waukesha County highway worker was injured after being hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened around 12:51 p.m. on southbound County Highway F and Redford Boulevard, north of Moreland Boulevard in the City of Pewaukee. The car left the scene and continued into the City of Waukesha, according to a news release from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.

The highway worker, who was working on road maintenance, had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The sheriff's office believes the car that hit the worker is a 2011-2015 maroon Ford Edge and is missing the driver's door mirror, according to the news release.

This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information can contact the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.
