Waukesha County Sheriff's Department To Be Assessed

As part of the on-site assessment for accreditation, agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments.

WAUKESHA, WI— A team of assessors from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) will be on-site June 8 through June 10 to examine all aspects of the Waukesha County Sheriffs policies and procedures, management, operations and support services, according to a news release.

Agencies are required to comply with all the standards in these areas to earn accreditation, which is a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence, the release said.

As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling 262-548-7019 on June 9 between 1-2 p.m.

Telephone comments are limited to ten minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with WILEAG's standards. For further information, contact Captain Michelle Leffler at mleffler§waukeshacounty.gov.
