Waukesha Drunk Driver Passed Out Behind Wheel: Police

According to police, the driver's vehicle stopped when it hit a curb.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha man was arrested on suspicion of his fifth drunken driving offense after police say he rolled through an intersection and crashed while passed out.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers responded to a call of a reckless vehicle near W. Moreland Blvd. and E. North Street just after 9 p.m. on May 22.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Waukesha man, passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, a black Nissan, and had his vehicle roll through the intersection.

Police said the driver was revived, and was arrested on suspicion of his fifth drunken driving offense. Police also said he was cited for failing to have an ignition interlock device on his car, and for possession of narcotics.
