Waukesha House Fire Causes $20,000 In Damages
No injuries were reported as a result of this fire.
WAUKESHA, WI— The Waukesha Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Wednesday on Shoshone Drive. Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the basement of the home, according to a news release. The damage to the home is estimated to be $20,000. No injuries were reported as a result of this fire.
The release said the cause of the fire was found to be oily rags that were discarded in a combustible container.
"The Waukesha Fire Department would like to thank the Waukesha Police Department for the quick response and assistance as well as WE Energies," the release said.

The Waukesha Fire Department said citizens should be aware of the dangers of oily rags and remind them to discard them in a non-combustible container outside of their residence.
