Waukesha Man Called 911 On Self; Was Arrested

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha man was arrested after police said he called 911 on himself while walking in a local neighborhood.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers were sent to the area of N. Comanche Lane and Brendon Way just after 8 p.m. on May 25 on a report of a suspicious person.

Waukesha police told Patch they received several 911 calls about a man walking around the neighborhood possibly with either a cell phone or a gun.

After two separate calls, Waukesha police said they were able to figure out that the man called 911 on himself, but could not determine why he did it.

Police said officers found the man walking on the 2900 block of Brendon Way. When they figured out what was happening, the man was arrested and cited for unlawful use of 911. He was later released on-scene, police said.
