Waukesha Man Who Brandished Gun During Argument Arrested: Report

Police said Woods took off running and ditched the gun behind the Bridge Church and was arrested moments later.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say a Waukesha man has been arrested and charged after he brandished a gun during an argument and took off running when police tracked him down.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, officers responded to a home on the 300 block of W. Roberta Ave. at just after 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 25 on a report of a man with a gun.

Police said a man, later identified as Ronnie J. Woods of Waukesha, confronted a woman at the home over an apparent relationship conflict and brandished a gun.

According to police, Woods left the home with the woman, and police found them walking on Grand Ave. a short time later.

Police said Woods took off running and ditched the gun behind the Bridge Church and was arrested moments later. Police said they found the gun, and that the woman was not injured.

Court documents show that Woods has been charged withe carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct-use of a dangerous weapon and obstructing an officer. He's due in court next on Dec. 18 for his preliminary hearing.
