Waukesha Police Catch Kids Who Stole Packages From Porches

WAUKESHA,WI — A two kids were busted after stealing packages off porches in the City of Waukesha.

A caller contacted Waukesha Police on Sunday in the 200 block of Hinnman Avenue after seeing them stealing items from the front of a neighbor's house, according to the police log.

They were also spotted putting stuff in garbage bags and running away.

Police found the kids who were cooperative and showed where the packages were disposed of. The log said the two boys also pointed out what houses they hit. All the packages were returned to the homes.

The victims allowed the situation to be handled at a parental level.

"The boys were apologetic and respectful. They were escorted to their home, where mom was advised of the situation. Boys promised to never do anything like this again," the log said.
