Waukesha Record Store Changes Its Name But Keeps Same Vibe

Starship Records on Main Street is now Vinyl Vault Records.

WAUKESHA, WI β€” A year after relocating from Lincoln Avenue to Main Street in Waukesha, Starship Records and Collectibles has changed ownersβ€”and its name.

Starship Records and Collectibles, located at 275 W. Main St., is changing its name to Vinyl Vault Records.

Former Owners Crystal Acosta and her husband, Tony Acosta, made the announcement on social media.

β€œIt has been a pleasure serving you and talking music with all our customers for the past 20 years. As we say goodbye, We want to welcome the new owners Dan and Michele. They will continue to serve great music to you,” the post said.

The new owners posted a message announcing the new name but said they plan to keep the business similar to Starship.

The store has a variety of genres such as rock, jazz, polka, R&B, classical, and more. For the jukebox heroes, 45-rpm records are available. For the younger crowd, there are cassette tapes, DVD movies, turntables, and collectibles.

Store hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The store is closed on Monday.
