Waukesha Residents Share Their Favorite Wisconsin Haikus

WAUKESHA, WI — People in Waukesha shared their Wisconsin haikus after Patch reached out for National Haiku Day 2022. National Haiku Day was on Sunday this year.

According to Encyclopædia Britannica, a haiku is a poem that doesn't rhyme, has 17 syllables in total and is split into three lines of five, seven and five.

Patch tasked local residents with writing about their home state, Wisconsin. "Write a haiku about Wisconsin. Remember: it's 5-7-5."
