Waukesha Teen Arrested After High-Speed Chase
Waukesha police told Patch that the driver fled at more than 70 miles per hour west on Arcadian and through the city.

WAUKESHA, WI — A 16-year-old Waukesha resident was arrested, cited and turned over to his parents after authorities say he sped away from police during an attempted traffic stop.
According to Waukesha police call logs, an officer on patrol near the area of Highway 164 and Arcadian Ave. just after midnight on Sunday tried to pull over the driver for speeding.
Waukesha police told Patch that the driver fled at more than 70 miles per hour west on Arcadian and through the city.

Police said the officer followed the driver for 3.2 miles until the driver pulled over to the side of the road on his own in the Town of Waukesha.
Police said he was arrested without incident, and cited for multiple traffic violations.

He was later released that morning to his parents, police said.
