Waukesha Train Accident Leaves 1 Dead Over Weekend

WAUKESHA, WI — A train accident over the weekend in Waukesha has left one person dead.

A 29-year-old man from Hartford was struck by the train early Saturday, JSOnline is reporting.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers were sent to the area near N. Grand Ave. and Williams St. just after 3 a.m. on Saturday on a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a train at the Grand Ave. railroad crossing.

Waukesha police call logs state that the Canadian National police called authorities in Waukesha, saying that the man had been struck by one of their trains.

Waukesha police said the man was later found dead about 40 feet west of the intersection.
