Wet Snow Expected Overnight In Waukesha Area May Cause Slippery Roads
The National Weather Service put a winter weather advisory in effect for much of Waukesha County overnight into Thursday morning.
WAUKESHA, WI — Around 2-5 inches of wet, heavy snowfall may reduce visibility and cause slippery, hazardous road conditions Wednesday night into Thursday morning across Waukesha County, the National Weather Service said in a winter weather advisory for the area.
The rain Wednesday will quickly transition into snow late Wednesday evening and into the night, with heavy snow possible at times. The winter weather advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday.
Morning commutes may be impacted by the weather. Further, wind gusts between 25-35 mph could hit, the NWS said.

Areas impacted by the winter weather include Waukesha, Brookfield, New Berlin, Menomonee Falls, Muskego and beyond in south-central and southeastern Wisconsin. More snow is expected for more inland areas.
Light snow is expected to continue through the week with sub-zero windchills becoming possible into the weekend and next week, according to the NWS.
