Witches of Lake Country Bar Hop

Local blogger creates a witch themed mom’s night out event to collect donations for local organization for girls in the area.

OCONOMOWOC, September 25, 2018 —The Lake Country Mom a hyper-local blog with focus on the lake country area and southeast WI shares local things to do, events, the latest happenings, and helps create stimulation and support in local businesses. “Not only do we tell you about things to do, but we create things to do,” said Rachel Reed, founder and blogger for The Lake Country Mom. “We wanted to create something for local women to get out of the house, unleash their fun side, have a chance to dress up for Halloween and get out of the house all for a good cause.”

The Lake Country Mom is anticipating their first annual ‘Witches of Lake Country Bar Hop,’ the event will take place on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 starting at 6:30pm in downtown Oconomowoc. The event is a typical ladies night out with a Halloween twist. All the ladies will come dressed like a witch. There will be games and prizes donated from local businesses, and even a best costume award. Various downtown establishments are offering drink specials, offers, prizes and other spooky fun to the participants.

The event will help collect craft / art supply donations for Gals Institute and the Gals on the Go Project for resiliency programs for lake country kids and teens. Gals on the Go Project’s mission is to provide prevention and resiliency building workshops and events to adolescents. They will take your gently used or new art supplies. Glue, scissors, scrapbooking paper, stickers, etc. Cash donations are always welcome to support their efforts. The collection bin will be set up at Splash Martini Bar in downtown Oconomowoc during the event.
