WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to 78 calls from July 23 to Thursday. The following are some of the incidents reported over the week.

  • A burglar smashed the window of a Subway in the 10900 block of West Capitol Drive and took $17, police said.
  • Someone broke into and took an unknown amount of money from BelAir Cantina in the 6800 block of West North Avenue after bar hours, police said.
  • Police arrested a woman at Mayfair Mall after a possible overdose. The woman is accused of having 1.1 grams of fentanyl on her, police said.
  • Wauwatosa police arrested a man on suspicion of driving while intoxicated at the intersection of North Mayfair Road and West Wisconsin Avenue, police said.
  • A thief stole another person's credit cards from an unlocked vehicle as it was parked in a driveway in the 3300 block of Menomonee River Parkway, police said. The thief used the cards to make fraudulent purchases at several Mayfair Mall stores before the victim realized the cards were stolen.
  • The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a man at the Sheraton Hotel in the 300 block of South Moorland Road in Brookfield on a felony warrant, police said.
  • A Wauwatosa man reported that two men stopped his car and pointed guns at him near Wauwatosa Avenue and West North Avenue, police said.
  • Six cars were reported stolen between July 23 and Thursday, police said.
  • Five cars were reported broken into over the six days, police said.
  • Two people reported that someone opened an unlocked car and stole from it, police said. In one case, someone reportedly stole a handgun from someone else's car, police said.
  • Police recovered two stolen vehicles over the six days.
  • In two incidents, someone reportedly stole the catalytic converter from a car over the six days, police said. In a separate incident, two Wauwatosa police officers responded to a catalytic converter theft attempt.
