Car Stolen With Baby And Passenger Inside, Wauwatosa Police Say

WAUWATOSA, WI—A car was stolen with a baby and passenger inside in Wauwatosa on Sunday morning, according to police.

Police responded to a carjacking in the 8300 block of W. Bluemound Road, according to news release. The baby and passenger were later let out of the car, the release said.

Officers located the car and suspect in the 5800 block of West Silver Spring. After a foot pursuit, the suspect, a 22-year-old man, was taken into custody, the release said.

"We would like to use this incident to remind the public to remain vigilant in locking motor vehicles and never leave a running vehicle unattended. Although in this case, the vehicle was not left unattended, the running vehicle was an "easy target,"" the release said.
