Catalytic Converter Thefts, Repeat OWIs: Wauwatosa Crime Logs

Here are the Wauwatosa police logs from July 2-8.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to nearly 50 calls from July 2-8. These are some of the incidents reported over the week:

  • Wauwatosa police arrested a man for operating while intoxicated in the 6100 block of North Avenue. This was the man's fourth offense, police said.
  • A woman reported that someone stole the catalytic converter from her car in the 6200 block of North Avenue.
  • A man reported that two people tried to steal the catalytic converter from his car parked at Mayfair Mall. Both suspects fled, police said.
  • A woman reported that someone stole the catalytic converter from her car in the 12000 block of Burleigh Street.
  • A Wauwatosa man reported that his bank card showed 37 fraudulent transactions, indicating that $3,580 in purchases were made for the eSports platform Skillz.
  • Wauwatosa police arrested a man for operating while intoxicated after he crashed his car in the 6200 block of West State Street. The man also had heroin on him, police said.
  • A person stole $2,432 worth of fragrances from Ulta Beauty at 11500 W. Burleigh St., police said.
  • Someone stole a Hyundai Sonata without the keys from a driveway in the 10000 block of West Woodward Avenue.
  • A man reported that his Lexus ES300 was stolen in the 6000 block of Grand Parkway.
  • Police arrested a man for driving while intoxicated during for the third time in the 7300 block of West Lloyd Street.
