City Shoots Down Proposed Gas Station, Convenience Store
Business owner's plan to open a full-service gas station and conveninece store opposed by Wauwatosa officials, residents.
A controversial plan for a gas station and convenience store on North 60th Street was rejected by Wauwatosa aldermen this week, the Journal Sentinel reported.
Mandeep Dhawan was seeking approval to open up shop at 6005 W. Vliet St., the newspaper said. However, the proposal was opposed by neighbors and the city's Community Development Committee last month voted 5-2 to deny the request.
