Construction Begins On Mayfair Road Luxury Apartment Building

WAUWATOSA, WI — Construction has begun on a new 258-unit luxury apartment building on Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, developers announced Wednesday.

Called 2929 on Mayfair, the five-story building will boast a clubhouse, pickleball court, outdoor pool, coffee bar, fitness center and more. A combination of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments will make up the building. The first residents are expected to move in by August of 2023, developers said in a news release

Most apartments will have a balcony, some will have walk-in closets, and each will feature an upgraded kitchen with stainless steel appliances, subway tiled showers, smart thermostats, 9-foot ceilings, developers said in a news release. M&R Development and Campbell Capital Group are leading the project.

“The Wauwatosa area is a thriving major center for commercial, medical, biotech and retail development, and strong future job growth is expected over the next decade, so there is a definite need for new upscale rental housing," said Anthony Rossi Sr., the managing partner of M&R Development.

Rossi Sr. said the apartment's proximity to the Mayfair shopping center will also be a bonus for residents. The building will be located across from Blue Mount Golf and Country Club, providing green views, Rossi said.

The building will also include a business center with private workstations and conference rooms, a pet washing station with a grooming table and dryer, a package room, a bike sharing station, and a three-level parking garage with a car wash and vehicle charging stations, according to the news release.
