Cooling Centers In Wauwatosa During Thursday Heat
The City of Wauwatosa offers locations to stay cool in as high temperatures and power outages continue.
WAUWATOSA, WI — The City of Wauwatosa is opening several cooling centers Thursday after thousands of residents are left without power after severe storms.
The day will be mostly sunny and hot with highs near the 90s, the National Weather Service reported.
Here are some places to cool off in Wauwatosa during the excessive heat:

- The Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. Open 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
- City Hall, 7725 W. North Ave. Open 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road. Open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Jacobus Wading Pool, 6501 W. Hillside Lane. Open 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Madison Splash Pad, 9800 W. Glendale Ave. Open 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The American Red Cross is opening a cooling center in Milwaukee as well. The cooling center is at Southside Church of Christ, 1933 W. Grange Ave. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
