Dog Bites, Home Burglary And OWIs: Wauwatosa Crime Logs

Here are the Wauwatosa police logs from July 16-22.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to nearly 60 calls from July 16-22. These are some of the incidents reported over the week:

  • Wauwatosa police arrested Marquis Davis-Joiner, 17, and two juveniles after a pursuit that ended in a crash at West North Avenue and North 65th Street. The district attorney charged Davis-Joiner with fleeing an officer and driving a car without consent of the owner, which are both felonies, according to court records.
  • Wauwatosa police reported a burglary at someone's home on the 4000 block of North 98th Street. There were no signs of a break-in at the residence, police said.
  • Wauwatosa police assisted the Brookfield Police Department in a car chase that ended in a crash at North 100th Street and West Capitol Drive, police said.
  • Wauwatosa police arrested a man after a traffic stop for driving while intoxicated for the first time on North 64th Street and West Garfield Avenue. Police pulled the man over after they watched him hit a curb at the intersection, police said.
  • Police arrested a woman after a traffic stop for driving while intoxicated for the third time after a hit and run crash that resulted in injury on North 112th Street and West Burleigh Street. The woman had a passenger that was under 16 years old, police said.
  • Four cars were stolen between July 16-22. One of the four was a new model Kia.
  • Two catalytic converters were stolen from residents' cars between July 16-22.
  • There were five separate incidents where a person broke into someone else's car over six days.
  • A Wauwatosa man reported that he gave another man his car to get lunch. The car has not returned since Thursday.
  • Two residents reported that they were bitten by dogs. One person reported that their dog was bitten by another dog on the 1900 block of North 84th Street.
