Fate Of 2020 Wisconsin State Fair To Be Decided
State Fair Park Board of Directors issued a statement Monday about how close they are to making a decision about this year's fair.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Wisconsin State Fair officials say they have yet to make a decision whether to cancel or delay the 2020 fair due to the ongoing coronavirus public health emergency.
As scheduled, the Wisconsin State Fair is still planned for Aug. 6-16, 2020. That date is subject to change, officials said Monday.

"At this time the State Fair Park Board of Directors has not made a formal decision on whether the Wisconsin State Fair will go on as planned, August 6 – 16. However, until a decision is made, we will continue to work tirelessly to make the Wisconsin State Fair the WonderFair experience you know and love," the Board wrote.

State Fair officials said there are many factors they need to consider, including several large industries, including agriculture, entertainment, concessions and ride operations, as well as hundreds of small businesses and thousands of part-time employees.
"We are analyzing all facets of the Fair, while continuing to closely monitor data from local, state and federal health officials, and assess how this will affect each one," the Board wrote Monday.
