Fire Department Faced Flames Twice in Same Day
Blaze started outside vacant building but became involved inside as well before firefighters extinguished it.

The had a busy day Wednesday with two serious structure fires breaking out.
After battling a 3:30 a.m. blaze that consumed a garage and damaged two more, firefighters were called out again later in the day for a fire that started outside a vacant commercial building at 2578 Wauwatosa Ave.
The flames were intense enough that the fire extended rapidly to the inside of the building. While Wauwatosa units fought the fire, mutual aid units from Brookfield, West Allis and Elm Grove sent companies to staff Tosa fire stations, and they answered two calls while Tosa attended to the building fire.
