Froedtert Staff Raise Alarm Over Unannounced Vaccine Transport

WAUWATOSA, WI—Three people arrived at Froedtert Hospital on Tuesday stating that they were from the National Guard and were assigned to transport vaccine, according to Gerry C. Steele, Media Relations Associate with Froedtert.

When questioned further, they indicated that they were at the wrong hospital and left.

"Because the visit was unannounced and unexplained, we contacted law enforcement as well the state officials overseeing vaccine distribution," Steele told Patch.

The investigation has confirmed that the individuals are members of the National Guard and were in the wrong location.

"We are grateful for the staff members who raised the concern, allowing us to make the appropriate contacts and confirmations," she said.
