Irgens Plans Tosa Apartments, Retail Center And medical Office

WAUWATOSA, WI—A mixed-use development including 185 apartments is planned for Wauwatosa. The Milwaukee Regional Innovation Center, Inc. (MRIC) Board of Directors approved plans by Irgens for the redevelopment of the former United Healthcare property located at 10701 Research Dr., according to Irgens.

Irgens acquired the 13.9-acre site in August.

Plans include the renovation of the five-story, 130,000 square foot office building. The property will be called Research One. Construction inside the building will begin in January and will be completed in April, the firm said.

Irgens will subdivide the land for retail, medical and multi-family housing. The retail section will be 8,000 square feet and offer food services.

A two-story 43,000 square feet medical office building is planned. The multi-family section includes 185 apartments. The plans include studios, one and two-bedroom floor plans, the firm said.
