Mobile Days Promotes Trend Toward Deals on Wheels

If you haven't made lunch plans for Thursday, a veritable outdoor food court awaits you at Mobile Days, a celebration of the growing popularity of "street food" movement.

You could also get your car washed, your oil changed, your cell phone updated and take a rickshaw ride, all on your lunch break.

Food and other services on wheels represents a business model that many entrepreneurs are finding fun and profitable, especially as they explore the potential of bringing their wares and talents to business parks and complexes where office workers may have limited access to a variety of local options.

Mobile Days, sponsored by the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce, is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Crowne Plaza parking lot, 10499 Innovation Dr., in Milwaukee County Research Park.

Mobile vendors scheduled for the event include:
