Narcan Used After 2 Found Unconscious In SUV On Interstate 41: Sheriff
After an SUV crashed on Interstate 41 near Watertown Plank Road early Saturday, Milwaukee sheriff's deputies used naloxone on two people.
WAUWATOSA, WI — Two people had to be given the overdose-reversing drug naloxone early Saturday morning after sheriff's deputies discovered their SUV crashed into a barrier on Interstate 41 near Watertown Plank Road, according to authorities.
Squads from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office found a black Jeep Compass around 3:30 a.m. that had crashed into the impact attenuator between the freeway lanes and the off-ramp, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office.
The driver and passenger inside the SUV, both 24-year-old men, were unconscious and had labored breathing when the first deputies arrived, the sheriff's office said. One of the men returned back to consciousness with one dose of NARCAN while the other regained consciousness after two doses, the sheriff's office said.

Fire-rescue responders brought both of the men to a hospital, and the driver admitted to taking heroin and drinking alcohol, causing his arrest for OWI, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office encouraged anyone who struggles with narcotics addiction to call 211 for help.
