WAUWATOSA, WI — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers' statewide face mask mandate is set to go into effect on Aug. 1, and people who go to The TOSA Pool and The Landing will need to bring a mask.

"If you forget your mask, one of our crew will politely remind you of the State requirement. We will have a small supply of masks available for use. If you are uncomfortable or are unable to wear a mask, we respectfully ask you to hold off on visiting us until the State mandate is lifted," management said on Friday.

According to staff:

When you are swimming, you are not required to wear a mask. In fact, masks should not be worn in the water. Wet material can severely limit breathing and be dangerous.
When you are seated and eating or drinking, you are not required to wear a mask.

The TOSA pool has different rules as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Wisconsin. Rules about pool capacity, hours and time slots can be viewed on their website.
