New Memory Care Facility Opens In Wauwatosa

The state-of-the-art 45,000 square foot facility features a one-story neighborhood with 24 living units.

WAUWATOSA, WI – Lutheran Home has opened its new memory care assisted living facility this week at its Wauwatosa campus at 7500 W. North Ave.

The project was led by the Lutheran Home Foundation which says it exceeded its $10 million goal in December.

The campaign was led by former Wisconsin Governor Martin Schreiber, whose wife Elaine has Alzheimer’s disease and resides at the Lutheran Home. The facility will be named Elaine’s Hope in her honor.

“Lutheran Home is a place where I know my loved one will get the very best possible care,” Schreiber said.

The state-of-the-art 45,000 square foot facility features a one-story neighborhood with 24 living units, a two-story building with 48 units, and a one-story connector building featuring the lobby and community center.

The center incorporates innovative technology, therapeutic design and suitable spaces for treatment, meeting, socializing and learning.
