• Minnesota basketball the latest program to offer Wisconsin guard Jalen Brown (on3.com subscription) — A standout from Wauwatosa West High School, guard Jalen Brown, just picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Minnesota, adding to an already impressive list of Division I suitors. The 2027 prospect, one of Wisconsin’s top players, averaged over 22 points last season for Wauwatosa West. His recruitment now includes major programs from the Big Ten and beyond keeping close tabs on him. 
• Veteran, cancer survivor graduates from UW-Whitewater (wdtimes.com) — A 67-year-old veteran and former Wauwatosa attorney has just completed an English degree at UW-Whitewater after surviving cancer and heart surgery. The longtime Watertown resident reflects on his military service, law career in Wauwatosa, and the health challenges he pushed through with his family’s support. Now, he’s turning his creative energy toward writing a screenplay.
