Pedestrian Crossing 124th Street Hospitalized In Crash

A pedestrian who was crossing 124th Street Monday night in Wauwatosa was hospitalized in a crash but expected to survive, police said.

WAUWATOSA, WI —A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Monday night after being struck by a car on 124th Street near Capitol Drive, according to police.

Officers were called out around 9:30 p.m. after the pedestrian trying to cross 124th Street was hit, police said. The driver was headed north on 124th before the crash and although the pedestrian's injuries were serious enough for hospitalization, authorities said they were not life-threatening.

The driver stayed on the scene of the crash and is cooperating, police said. Both people involved were adults and authorities on Tuesday said no citations have been issued.
