Photo Gallery: Hardy Souls Brave Heat and Rain to Enjoy Tosa's Night Out

Celebration of public safety goes on with only a brief soaking to interrupt the festivities.

Tosa took a shower together Tuesday night as a single, brief, but drenching downpour waited until just about the entire crowd was out in the middle of the 8 p.m. Family Flashlight Walk.

A few walkers were able to take shelter in St. John's Lutheran Church and elsewhere, but most were caught out, and the rest of the night turned into a wet T-shirt affair. Spirits did not appear to be much dampened though, as thunderstorms abated and the fireworks show finale was allowed to go on.

Earlier, everyone enjoyed a warm but not overwhelming evening from 4 p.m. on, escaping into the Muellner Building from time to time to cool down.
