Police Break Up Mayfair Mall Fight Involving 35; 3 Arrested
Mayfair Mall was the scene of yet another disturbance, this time involving 35 people in the mall's food court.

WAUWATOSA, WI — Mayfair Mall was the scene of another disturbance, after Wauwatosa police said they had to break up a fight involving 35 people Saturday night.
According to Wauwatosa police, officers were sent to the mall's food court area just before 8 p.m. Saturday after witnesses said 15 people were engaged in a fight.
When police arrived, they said the fight appeared to have escalated to a total of 35 teenagers.

According to a WISN report, three of the teenagers were arrested and cited.

It wasn't all that long ago that mall officials sought to curb the troubles brought upon by some of the mall's younger patrons by only allowing them on the property when accompanied by an adult after certain hours. The move was prompted by a previous weekend fight.
Wauwatosa Police were called to Mayfair Mall just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 on a report of a large fight. The fight spilled into mall security and police officers who were called to quell the disturbance.
"As a result of this incident and the large amount of youth that contributed to the disorder, we have decided to reinstate the parental guidance required program at Mayfair effective immediately," said Chris Jaeger, senior general manager of Mayfair in
By the time the dust settled, six teens had been arrested and more than 100 had been kicked out of the mall, according to Wauwatosa Police.
Here are the rules for Mayfair Mall according to mall officials:
1. Visitors 17 years of age and younger are required to be accompanied at all times by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 3 p.m. Parental Guidance Required hours are subject to change during the holiday season.
2. Unsupervised youths shopping prior to 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings must leave the mall by 3 p.m. or immediately be joined by a parent or supervising adult age 21 or older.
3. Proof of age may be required for the youth and/or supervising adult. Those who lack proper identification may be asked to leave the property.
4. Valid forms of identification includes a state-issued driver's license or ID card, a military ID, a school ID card, or a passport. The identification must be tamper-proof and include a photograph and date of birth.
5. One adult may accompany up to four youths. All accompanied youths must remain with the supervising adult.
Officers Shot, Killed Teen Outside Mall In February
In early February, 17-year-old Alvin Cole was shot and killed by Wauwatosa Police after a disturbance involving Cole was reported on the night of Feb. 2 near Sephora.
On that night, police said they shot and killed Cole after he displayed a handgun during a police chased.
As police chased Cole, video showed Cole firing one gunshot at police. You can hear officers shout "drop the gun" and "put it down" several times before five gunshots are fired. The pursuing officer shot Cole, resulting in his death.
Officer began CPR and life-saving measures before the Wauwatosa Fire Department came to try to save Cole's life. He was rushed to Froedtert Hospital. He was later pronounced dead by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner.
