Public Hearing Set For Senior Apartments On St. Pius Property
A public hearing is scheduled during the Wauwatosa Common Council meeting on Jan. 19.

WAUWATOSA, WI— A virtual public hearing is scheduled during the Wauwatosa Common Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 19. The hearing is regarding a proposal for a market-rate residential community for active adults ages 55 and above in the city's East Tosa neighborhood called "Le Bon Vivant."
St. Pius X Parish owns the nearly 5-acre parcel at 2506 Wauwatosa Avenue with almost half of the property comprised of a large surface parking lot. The development site is located at the eastern portion of the parking lot directly at the northwest corner of West Wright Street and North 74th Street.
According to city documents, the apartments will provide a housing option for active adults who may want to downsize from their current homes with the flexibility to rent a smaller apartment and eliminate the maintenance obligations, but still have the ability to stay connected to the local community.
