Two 11-Year-Olds Say Man Tried to Entice Them Into Car

Boys ran and called police after a stranger pulled up and asked them them to get into his car near Mayfair Mall.

Parents should take note and remind their children of the right example set by two boys who ran away quickly and called after a strange man asked them to get into his car.

At 11:12 a.m. Friday, the two 11-year-olds, one from Wauwatosa and one from Milwaukee, reported that an unknown man had tried to entice them into his car outside .

The boys said that as they were about to leave the mall property near the North 104th Street entrance, a silver SUV turned in from West North Avenue and stopped near them.

They said the driver put his window halfway down and asked them, “Where are you guys going?” When they didn’t answer him, he said, “Come on in.”

At that, the boys ran south across North Avenue. They said the SUV continued toward the mall.

The boys described the man as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, with black hair and a medium brown complexion. They did not get a make, model or license number on the SUV but said it was not a newer vehicle.
